A Network Digital Signage Solution with ability to control Remote-based players via Internet (WAN)
Signage Live: A
a software add-on which can interface with any of the Teq Digital’s Player products to enable Live Video input from Cable TV, S-Video sources and other External Playback Equipment. Live Video can be scheduled weeks or months in advance to toggle between the local playlists and the Live Video Events at pre-defined times based on a schedule. This solution was launched primarily for the company’s European customers who wanted to enable Live Television broadcast of the Euro 2004 Soccer event on their existing digital signage installations.
The SIGNAGE LIVE software switches over seamlessly to Live Television feed, which can be scheduled weeks in advance, and goes back to paid advertising content at the end of the scheduled live feed. The software works with off the shelf TV-Tuner cards, which enables you to upgrade the hardware at a very low-cost.
Most off-the-shelf brand(s) of TV Tuner cards, such as PixelView, Mercury and LifeView, have been tested to work with Teq Digital Signage Live. Performance parameters like clarity of video signal, smoothness, etc varies depending upon the model of the TV Tuner card installed on the player.
Teq Digital Signage Live
The Main Window plays Local Content like Flash, Mpeg, Avi, etc. from media files which are stored on the local hard drive. This is based on a play list and a schedule which is defined by the Manager Software.
The Main Window also plays Live TV feed. This is based on a schedule which is defined by a channel and the total telecast time. The software switches back to “local Play Mode” at the end of the scheduled Live Feed mode.
Digital Signage and Information-communication system are being installed in hundreds of locations on daily basis. The Digital signage software is the heart of the complete system since it collects, organizes, distribute and schedules the content on display and speaker. Selection of appropriate Digital signage software mainly depends on the control of Players and site-installation settings.
